In addition to performing our official duties, the Rochester Police Department supports the community in many ways throughout the year. Here are some of the ways that we give back to those we serve.

PINK PATCH PROGRAM

During the month of October, Rochester Police Officers will have the option to wear a pink uniform patch during their shifts in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month.  These unique Rochester Police Pink Patches can be purchased for $10 per patch.  All proceeds from the patch sales will benefit a local cancer facility.  Patches can be purchased in person at the Rochester Police Department or Rochester Village Hall.  It can also be purchased by mail.  Print and complete this form and send it to the Rochester Police Department with payment.

We are proud to join the Pink Patch Project alongside many other agencies around the world in the fight against cancer!

COPS FOR KIDS

Join the Rochester Police Department and the Rochester Public Library for a fun-filled time. Learn what a police officer does and how teamwork and fitness play a role in our jobs. The children will hear a story, enjoy some physical activities, and make a craft.

Hope to see you there!

(All ages welcome, however material is geared during elementary school-aged children.)

SANTA'S ELF's

Our ELF (Everyday Law Enforcement Friends) program was designed in 2018 to help families dealing with financial hardship receive the Christmas they deserve.  Our own donations along with support from our community and local businesses has succeeded in bringing Christmas cheer, winter wear, household necessities and toys to several families over the last couple of years.

We are reaching out to the community to help nominate candidates that may need a little assistance this year.  Our hope is to relieve some of the burden on these families and let them experience a great holiday season.

Donations and nominations will be accepted through November 30, and kept anonymous.  Nomination swill be limited to the Rochester School District’s geographical area.  By the middle of December, an officer will reach out to the recipients to arrange a time for the parent/guardian to pick up the presents so they can place the gifts under the Christmas tree.

Donations can be sent to:
